Community Garden
A place for youth to learn & grow.
Each year our members are able to plant seeds and watch them grow in our garden. They not only learn how seeds turn to food, but also how to cook the food that comes out of the garden. Our members are then able to take home the fruits of their labor.
Our garden was generously supported by the 2021-2022 NC A&T Community Garden Stipend!
Our garden project was chosen by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Wayne Class of 2020-2021. Leadership Wayne County is designed to create a corps of leaders dedicated to the betterment of the community through service. Class members worked together to raise funds to upgrade our garden. They built planters, put a cement pad down, cleaned out debris, and planted flowers, fruit, and vegetables.
