Youth of the Year 2023
Stephanie has been selected as our Club's 2023 Youth of the Year candidate. Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premiere youth leadership program, honoring extraordinary young people and their achievements in leadership, service, academics excellence and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle.

Stephanie has been a Club member for 9 years and is a senior at Eastern Wayne. Her favorite parts of attending the Club have been building a community and becoming more comfortable with herself and others. Stephanie gives back to the community through volunteer work such as assembling hygiene kits, tutoring, and participating in backpack giveaways. She will be attending ECU in the fall and hopes to major in theater and minor in business.

OUR MISSION
To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The purpose of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County is to promote the social, educational, health, leadership, and character development of boys and girls during critical periods of their growth. Our youth come to the Boys & Girls Clubs to receive tutoring/homework help, computer training, sports education, to make friends and for mentoring. Our youth gain confidence by developing a sense of usefulness and belonging.
