Show us your pancakes!

Due to Covid-19, the annual Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County Pancake Day has been cancelled, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have fun!

Do you want to know who makes the best pancakes in Wayne County? Let the kids decide!! The Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County is hosting a ‘taster’s choice’ competition to see which local food business has the best cakes in town. Whoever wins will earn the title of “Master Pancake Chef” in town and gets bragging rights for the whole year.

Interested businesses must register by November 20, 2020 by 5:00 pm to be entered into the contest. Any local restaurant or food service business may participate. For more information, please call 919-735-2358.

THE FINE PRINT/RULES AND REGULATIONS​

This is a kid-friendly cook off event open only to local restaurants and food service industry businesses located in Wayne County, NC. Due to COVID-19, all cooking will be done off-site. Commercial kitchens only.

The competition will be based on two criteria:

•Appearance

•Taste

​

Participating businesses will bring their plated pancakes to the Boys & Girls Club by 2:00 pm on Friday, December 4th. Please bring TWO plates; only one will be judged for appearances. The other plate will be used for tasting only.

This event is not open to the public.

​

Winner will be announced on Facebook Live the day of the event.
